About Wendel
When I taught International Baccalaureat English in Beijing, China in the first decade of the the 21st Century, I had a young Mongolian student who was with me throughout High School. When she graduated, she matriculated at New York University and they sent her to Italy for her first college semester. When she first arrived, one of her English Professors asked, "Who taught you to write so beautifully?" Her response, "Wendel."

My teaching philsosohy is based on getting to know you the student. Consequently, the first lesson or two will be spent finding out what you want, your goals, challenges and guaging exactly where you are in relation to these things. Because I am an emphathetic, active listener my success with your study depends on how well I do that with you. Just as important, the materials and learning activities we then use will be based on that. My students trust me beause they know I will always tell them the truth. Thus,
