About Guila

My name is Guila Cohen and I have a bachelor's in science from the Thomas Jefferson University in East Falls, as well as a master's in medical sciences from LECOM, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. I was top of my class as a pre-medical sciences major and psychology minor and did very well in my master's. I have tutored my peers and students in grades below me since I was in high school, and I was the head student tutor during college. I am confident when saying the students I have tutored always did well in their respective classes as it is my goal to help you succeed.

About the lesson

In order to help my students excel in any subject I use an active teaching style that includes going over every topic together, dumbing it down, and using reteaching to make sure my student has mastered the topic before moving on to the next. With active studying we then connect all topics and formulate patterns that aid in memory and fully understanding how a system works. This active style sets me apart as a tutor as I act as if we are friends studying together and this makes a comfortable environment to learn and ask questions. These active lessons will help anyone at any level, whether you just need to pass a course or it's an important requisite for your major or future career.
