About Nthabiseng
Hello! My name is Nthabiseng, and I’m a passionate and patient tutor currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Education degree, specializing in the Foundation Phase. I also hold a diploma in Information Technology and have over seven years of experience in the ICT industry, which brings a unique and practical edge to the way I teach. Over the past three years, I’ve completed my teaching practicals at various schools, working with learners from different grades and backgrounds. This hands-on experience has helped me develop a teaching style that is calm, clear, and tailored to each learner’s pace and needs. I offer tutoring in English, Mathematics, Life Skills, and basic Computer Literacy, mainly for Foundation Phase and Intermediate Phase learners. I can teach in both English and isiZulu, and I always aim to make lessons easy to understand, engaging, and encouraging. You can expect a safe and supportive learning space where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process, and confidence grows with every session. I believe every child has the ability to succeed with the right support, and I’m here to walk that journey with them. I look forward to helping you reach your learning goals!

My approach to private tutoring is learner-focused, supportive, and flexible. I believe in building a strong relationship with each learner and making sure they feel safe, seen, and heard. I use real-life examples, visual aids, and step-by-step guidance to help learners understand concepts clearly and build confidence in their abilities. What makes me unique is my background in IT and education—I bring a blend of structure and creativity to my lessons. I’m currently completing my final year in a Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase) and have three years of practical experience teaching learners from different backgrounds and learning needs. I am proficient in English and isiZulu, and I’m able to teach comfortably in both languages. In a typical lesson with me, learners can expect a calm and friendly environment where they feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again. Lessons are planned according to the learner’s pace and needs, and I often include activities or small challenges to keep the learning fun and engaging. My lessons are mainly aimed at Foundation Phase learners (Grade R–3), but I am also able to support learners in intermediate grades, especially in subjects like English, Math, and basic coding or computer skills.
