About Tanya
Once I started college, my curiosity for science grew into an interest in research by first shadowing graduate students to develop protocols. Which resulted in gaining four years of undergraduate research training with Dr. Julie Jameson at California State University San Marcos. During my undergraduate research, I obtained many skills such as using immunofluorescence microscopy, attending immunology conferences, and being an animal care technician. I will be pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science and Engineering at the University of California Santa Cruz (Fall 2024). With my scientific knowledge, I can tutor STEM students.
