About Emily
I graduated from St. Catherine University with a bachelor's degree and have experience working in a school district, where I supported students of all ages. I love meeting new people, building positive relationships, and helping students work toward their goals. I believe that learning isn't about knowing everything. It's about knowing how to find the right resources, ask questions, and continue growing. Every student learns differently, and I understand that because I've experienced it myself. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident, valued, and never alone in their learning journey. I believe education should be engaging, inspiring, and fun. With patience, encouragement, and the right strategies, every student can grow, overcome challenges, and achieve more than they thought possible. Why choose me as your tutor?
I believe every student learns differently, and my goal is to meet you where you are. I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping students build confidence while reaching their academic goals.
Last year, I worked in a school supporting students in 6th-grade math and science, as well as 8th-grade geography and STEM classes. Through this experience, I learned how to explain concepts in different ways and adapt my teaching style to each student's individual needs.
In addition to academics, I enjoy helping students develop organization, study habits, and goal-setting skills. Whether it's creating a study schedule, planning steps to achieve a goal, or building strengths for sports or other activities, I love helping students create a plan that works for them.
I believe the best tutoring is a partnership. Together, we'll discover your learning style, build on your strengths, and create strategies that help you succeed, not just in one assignment, but with skills you can use for years to come.
