About Irene

Italian by birth and spirit. My passions are: archaeology, art, trees and teaching Italian. I lived in the US, Ethiopia, Namibia and now I am residing in Malta. Having been teaching in numerous, very different contexts, I always keep in mind that, in the learning process, different students find different obstacles and challenges. I am honored by the fact that, with several of the students I taught during my career, I have established a long-lasting friendship

About the lesson

"Know your student!" is the motto most teachers keep in mind while teaching. Mine is "Know your student's goal". I like structuring the learning process around the student's needs. I am very aware that every student has a unique personality and therefore a unique way of learning.

Irene taught me Italian for 3 years from scratch.
She’s very resilient and patient, and promotes the use of active discussion to practice speaking.
She adapts different methods of teaching to different students needs.
Would greatly reccommend, as she perfected my Italian.
