About Callum
Apart from academics, I also value maintaining a healthy work–life balance and staying active outside of my studies. In my free time, I enjoy a variety of hobbies including rock climbing, playing football, swimming, and creating arts and crafts. These activities allow me to stay creative, active, and balanced. I am also currently working part-time at McDonald’s, where I have developed strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills while balancing work with my studies.
I also enjoy going on long runs, which helps me stay focused and disciplined. I consider myself a friendly, positive, and approachable person who enjoys connecting with others. Having a good sense of humor and sharing a few laughs is a strong trait of mine and during lessons can also make learning more enjoyable and less stressful for students.
Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is not only to help students achieve better academic results, but also to help them develop confidence in their abilities and become independent learners on their own.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand why concepts work rather than simply memorizing formulas. By learning the reasoning behind methods, students are better equipped to solve problems even when questions are presented in different ways. I aim to create a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. At the start of each lesson, I identify the areas where a student is confident and the areas they find challenging, I would break down problems into clear, manageable steps and guide students through the reasoning behind each stage so they can develop strong problem-solving skills and attack problems that are worded differently. My lessons are suitable for intermediate and high school students, particularly those seeking support in STEM subjects such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
