About Benjamin
I am currently employed as a part time Chess Enrichment Instructor at Level UP Chess in San Diego County. During my classes, I foster an environment that is inclusive, fun, and safe. The students are in grades K-6, and it can be difficult to maintain their attention, but I have many different techniques and approaches that can be used to maximize the time I have with the students.

My lessons will be tailored to you, the student. We will establish what concepts you understand, and if applicable, review any games you have played to identify deficiencies. Lessons may include reviewing famous games that demonstrate relevant concepts, or exploring lines in your favorite opening with a chess engine and evaluating the options at each step of the way.
The most important part is communication between myself and the student, and determining the best way for us to drive the concepts home. Everyone learns differently, and I will work hard to find what works best for you.
I have over 5 years experience playing chess online and have played over 5000 games in that timeframe.
