About Olivia
I have been teaching for many years both in and out of the classroom. I struggled throughout most of my elementary school days and always needed extra support. In modern classrooms, it is challenging for teachers to provide the one-on-one support most students need. For this reason, I made a personal goal to ensure my students never feel bad about needing extra guidance, and to find creative solutions to help students make the bridge between struggle and success. I am a firm believer that each student is unique and has their own way of learning that suits them best. I will provide an array of strategies/ techniques that students will be able to use both in and out of the classroom, and will create lessons that best fit their learning needs.

Each lesson will be a very hands-on approach and will follow the common core state standards. Just as I do with my own class, I will provide real/ digital manipulatives to create authentic and engaging experiences. Lessons will be adapted to fit the students' specific needs and skillset. At the end of every lesson is a short assessment to determine level of understanding and what the next steps will be.
