About Anusara

My tutoring journey began with the Nenasa Education platform here in Sri Lanka, where I taught hundreds of students and created educational content focused on computer science fundamentals, programming, and problem-solving. Since then, I have continued to teach learners of all levels, from complete beginners to university students, helping them gain the confidence and skills they need to excel. The subjects I teach cover a wide range of computer science topics, including: Computer fundamentals and architecture Programming in Python, MATLAB, and other languages Data structures and algorithms Databases and SQL Data science basics and applied machine learning Software development principles Internet and web technologies My teaching method is simple but effective: I explain concepts in a clear, step-by-step way, always using practical examples and real projects so students can apply what they learn immediately. I believe learning is most effective when it’s interactive, so I encourage questions, problem-solving exercises, and active participation in every lesson. Beyond teaching, I’ve built real-world technology solutions, such as MENTO — an AI-powered educational app with a personalized recommendation engine — and other software tools involving artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and educational technology. These projects give me a unique perspective to show students how the concepts they learn in class are used in real-world industries.

About the lesson

I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, both independently and through the Nenasa Education platform, where I helped students across Sri Lanka understand complex IT and mathematics concepts in a simple, practical way.

I specialize in Data Science, Mathematics for Computing, Computer Science fundamentals, and AI-related topics, with hands-on expertise in Python, MATLAB, and data analysis. As a Data Science undergraduate, I combine academic knowledge with real-world projects, including AI-powered educational tools, chatbots, and recommendation systems.

My teaching methodology focuses on:

Concept First, Code Later – ensuring students understand the “why” before the “how.”

Step-by-Step Learning – breaking down complex topics into manageable lessons.

Real-Life Examples – connecting theory to practical applications so students can use what they learn.
