About Sean
Hi, I’m Sean, a graduate of Applied AI and Analytics from Singapore Polytechnic. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable parts—whether it's solving a tricky Math problem, explaining a Physics concept, or exploring how technology works in ICT. During my internship at PSA as an RPA Developer, I worked on automation projects that sharpened both my technical and communication skills. Teaching has always been something I’m passionate about. I love helping others grow and seeing that “lightbulb moment” when a concept finally clicks. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I’ve made learning easier and more enjoyable for someone else. Outside of academics, I enjoy bowling and playing the saxophone—both of which have taught me discipline, focus, and patience, traits I bring into my teaching. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident and motivated to do their best.

My tutoring style focuses on building deep understanding through active learning. For example, in Chemistry, I don’t just explain chemical equations—I guide students to visualise reactions through interactive analogies (like comparing electron transfer to passing balls in a game). In Math and Physics, I use a problem-solving ladder method, where we solve progressively harder questions together until the student can do exam-level problems confidently. For ICT, I relate concepts to real-world applications like chatbots and automation—drawing from my experience as an RPA Developer. I customise every session to match each student’s learning speed, and I always include quick recap quizzes to reinforce learning.
