After completing high school in California, I proceed to obtain a Bachelors degree from the University of California Santa Barbara. After finishing there I moved to Washington DC to attend graduate school, where I now work and live. I currently work as a manager at a community health clinic.

I grew up speaking Cantonese and Vietnamese and learned English during primary school in Southern California. As someone who grew up speaking a more tonal language I can understand the nuanced differences in speaking English and help explain them. I have also taken college level English and writing courses.
