About Suad
I am writing to express my interest in an education-related position with your school or organization. With experience as a student-teacher, volunteer educator, head teacher, teacher assistant, and teaching intern, I have developed a strong foundation in classroom support, lesson delivery, early childhood education, and working with students of different learning needs. I earned my Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mount St. Vincent, where I maintained a 4.0 GPA, and I am eager to bring my passion for teaching, patience, and creativity to your team.
Throughout my experience in both public school and childcare settings, I have worked with students from Pre-K through elementary school, including English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and students with behavioral needs. As a student-teacher at Yonkers Public School 5, I help conduct morning routines, lead Pre-K lessons aligned with curriculum standards, teach literacy lessons, create engaging math activities, and support students throughout the school day. These experiences have strengthened my ability to create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
In addition to my student-teaching experience, I have worked directly with young children as a head teacher at The Learning Experience and as a teacher assistant at Bryn Mawr Children’s Learning Center. In these roles, I led circle time, taught basic academic and social skills, supported music and movement activities, supervised meals and playtime, assisted with potty training, and maintained a clean and safe classroom environment. These responsibilities helped me develop strong classroom management skills and a caring approach to early childhood development.
I also bring experience supporting students with special needs. During my volunteer work at Yonkers Public School 17 and my teaching internship at SUNY Westchester Community College, I assisted students with assignments, provided one-on-one support, helped students with disabilities, and used games and interactive activities to build learning skills. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and individualized support in helping every student succeed.
My educational background in English, professional writing, speech pathology, and early childhood education allows me to communicate clearly, support literacy development, and understand the diverse needs of students. I also hold important education-related certifications and trainings, including Fingerprint Clearance, ATAS, Child Abuse Identification, School Violence Intervention and Prevention, DASA, and Mandated Reporter Training. In addition, I will be taking my New York State certification exam in September 2026, further strengthening my preparation for a career in education.
I’d welcome the chance to contribute my experience, dedication, and enthusiasm to your school community. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to discussing how my background and passion for education can support your students and staff.
Sincerely,
Suad Ali
