About Jackson
I am a teacher that takes your child's learning journey seriously. Having experienced the rigorous learning environment of Union University's excellent music program, I know what it means to be consistent, professional, and punctual. These three values were required for earning my degree in music, and these three values I will uphold as your child's piano instructor.

I like to start with 5 minutes of warm-up with my student. Their fingers are limber and relaxed for our ensuing lesson. Next, I will have them focus on learning a song for the majority of our lesson. We will cover finger placement, sight reading, rhythm/tempo, expression, and other aspects included in the process of getting the student "performance ready" for the song we practice. Finally, I will cover some music theory to give them musical building blocks for their future pursuit of music. I love working with kids, and I want to meet your child right where they are at. I am happy to start at ground zero and meet your child's level of comfortability while also helping them reach goals that stretch, challenge, and motivate them to reach new levels of piano skills as well as overall musicianship. These lessons will specifically be geared towards ages 6 through 14, or elementary through middle school-aged children, ranging from a pure beginner to an intermediate-level student.
