Lesson Title: Introduction to Spanish Greetings and Introductions
Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to greet others and introduce themselves in Spanish.
Materials Needed:
Whiteboard and markers
Handouts with vocabulary and dialogue examples
Audio recordings or videos for pronunciation practice
Lesson Outline:
Warm-up (5 minutes): Greet students as they enter the classroom in Spanish. Review any previous lessons on basic Spanish vocabulary if applicable.
Introduction (10 minutes): Introduce the lesson topic of greetings and introductions. Write key vocabulary words and phrases on the board such as "Hello! How are you?" (Hello! How are you?) and "Me llama..." (My name is...). Practice pronunciation as a class.
Presentation (15 minutes): Use visuals and dialogue examples to demonstrate how to greet someone and introduce yourself in Spanish. Model conversations between the teacher and students, and encourage students to participate by practicing with a partner.
Practice Activities (20 minutes):
Pair/group activities: Provide scenarios or role-play situations where students can practice greetings and introductions in Spanish.
