About Clara
I am a hardworking and curious lifelong student and passionate teacher. I am currently a research assistant working in a psychology lab, on the path to graduate school in clinical psychology. During my time at UW, I received research scholarships, presented my own research, and navigated difficult classes —while earning Dean's List every quarter. I understand that learning can look different for each student, and I will do my very best to understand each student's needs to help them reach their specific goals.

I start with understanding each individual's specific goals and areas for improvement, which can look like a discussion with parents, observing patterns with grades, and asking the student what they struggle with most. From this, I develop a comprehensive plan that includes SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goals to keep me and the student on track throughout the lessons and study sessions. I have experience teaching ages 3 through high school, specifically math and English. I can teach a wide array of classes (having taken AP "Advanced Placement" classes and college courses from UW) and help prepare for college admissions!
