Hi! I graduated high school in Brazil in 1999, and here again in the United States in 2018. Portuguese is my mother language, and I would love to teach others to learn and speak it.

About Josiane
Being born and raised in Brazil, I have been speaking Portuguese all my life. As my native language, I believe I have the knowledge to pass it on to those willing to learn. I think speaking with confidence is a very important thing. In my opinion, going somewhere and knowing how to communicate in a different language is a blessing. It's great to feel understood in your own language, and it's also wonderful to be able to understand them in return. Teaching others how to speak Portuguese makes me proud, and helping people speak my language is not just a job to me... it is a beautiful experience.

I would start by introducing students to the alphabet, basic words, and even simple phrases. I would implement this knowledge further by providing simple exercises, practices, and weekly quizzes. This would be used to find out how I can improve on helping them with their goals, and then move on to focus on more challenging words. Eventually, I hope that they can speak and understand basic sentences.
