About Pernille
I am a 22 year old girl from Denmark, currently living for a period of time in Australia with my boyfriend. I love traveling and meeting new people, and I have done so extensively. For instance, I lived in Chile for a year before I started high school, where I went to school there and lived with a local family.
In my everyday life I love to be active by going to the gym, or by enjoying nature on walks or runs around the neighborhood. I have previously done horse back riding and handball for many years.
As well as staying active, I also enjoy having a cozy time, reading a book, doing something creative or having fun with friends and family.
I love teaching and helping other students. I have always been ready to offer help to my own classmates, and after high school I started tutoring in Denmark, both in maths, Spanish, chemistry and physics. I find it very pleasing to see the frustration disappear from a students face and see it being replaced with pride and satisfaction. I prioritize the learning experience to be positive, so we celebrate the little victories and make the student knows that making mistakes is part of the process and not a bad thing at all.

I believe that learning should be fun and a safe space. Therefore, I focus on having the student solve the problems by giving them the needed hints along the was. I usually start off explaining the topic, and afterwards we do different kinds of examples together to make the student comfortable trying on their own with me by their side. I understand that different people require different explanation approaches, so if the first way of explaining does not make 100% sense, I do my best to explain it in a different way.
