About Liam
I have achieved NCEA Level 1, 2, & 3 with overall Excellence Endorsed, alongside all subjects I have taken being achieved at a minimum endorsement of Merit. Although my dream is to play sport at a higher level, I've always been taught to take academics seriously and to put it first as you never know what could happen. Because of this, I have had the opportunity to attend university in the USA, on both a Sports & Academic Scholarship. I want to share my knowledge, and help younger generations achieve the goals they have, no matter the size!

My Approach to Tutoring: My teaching style focuses on clarity, confidence, and steady progress. I break down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps and use real-life examples to make learning practical and engaging. I adapt my techniques to each learner’s strengths—whether they learn best through visual explanations, practice problems, discussion, or structured notes. I also check in regularly during lessons to make sure students fully understand before moving on, and I encourage questions to build confidence and independence. Teaching Methodology: I combine guided teaching with active practice. This means I first explain concepts in a straightforward way, then work through examples with the student, and finally give them opportunities to try problems on their own with support. I also use spaced revision, past exam questions, and goal-setting so students can see their progress over time. Lesson Length: A typical lesson runs for 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. This allows enough time to cover new material, practice skills, and revisit any areas that need more support. Qualifications and Experience: I graduated high school with NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3 Excellence Endorsements, with every subject endorsed at least at Merit level, including Mathematics, English, Media Studies, Spanish, Physical Education, and Statistics. These results reflect my strong academic foundation and ability to explain concepts clearly. I have experience helping peers and younger students understand coursework, prepare for assessments, and improve study habits. Who My Lessons Are For: I tutor students from Year 7 to Year 13 who are looking to strengthen their understanding, improve grades, or build confidence in their subjects. Whether a student is struggling and needs patient guidance or is aiming for Merit/Excellence and wants targeted support, I tailor each lesson to their goals and learning style.
