About Lorena
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with six-month experience abroad, and I'm studying for an international master's degree in Marine Sciences. I have been doing tutoring for 5 years and have experience with kids from middle school up to the first years of university. My current course of study takes place entirely in English, which eventually allows me to help also young people who attend international schools (as well as give any repetitions also in the English subject).

My methodology is based on teaching the method and the reasons behind it, rather than the mechanical procedure for resolution. For me it is of fundamental importance to enhance and enhance the creative reasoning process and the terminology suitable to explain it. I generally use the children's book to look for exercises related to the topics covered in class, but different from homework, which I prefer to do independently and then correct them. I believe it is of fundamental importance to correct any checks that have gone wrong and always check that the arguments have been thoroughly understood and not only assimilated as a mechanism even in the case of checks with positive results. Mathematics is a language, and as such it is not enough to apply its grammar rules, but to be fluent in speaking it is necessary to learn to think in the language itself.
