About Laura
Hi, I am Laura, I graduated in Modern Languages and Literature in Turin and I have studied English and Russian. I have a C1 level in English, I studied for a year at the University of Leeds, in England, and I had many study trips in the United Kingdom, where I obtained several certificates and I attended some courses with native speakers of the place. Furthermore, since I would like to teach English or Russian at the end of my studies, I have attended teaching courses at university and I still keep up to date on what are the best ways of learning and teaching languages.

First of all, I think that the most important thing in a good student-teacher relationship must be a mutual knowledge, which allows the student to be himself in front of the teacher and not to be afraid to express himself in a foreign language, not being scared to make mistakes and not hiding any doubt or misunderstanding. Furthermore, I tend to give my lessons entirely in English if the level of the pupil is already intermediate, or if I am asked to do so, although I prefer to explain grammatical rules or clarify doubts by speaking in Italian, so that the most difficult questions about language can be fully understood by the student. Finally, since I am a sunny and cheerful person, I would like that during my lessons there was a serene and nice atmosphere that can keep the pupil’s attention always active and can remove the word “boredom” from the study of a beautiful language like English.
