About Luca
My name is Luca and I have been composing music for groups and companies for several years. I have composed and produced pop, jazz and classical music as well as I have produced beat rap and hip-hop for individuals.
I have also written jingles and soundtracks for companies and for a short musical-movie produced by Noraneko Produzioni.
I play the keyboards and piano in an electroacoustic music quartet of which I am also author.
I am available and punctual and my experience in teaching has given me the ability to adapt my method to the needs of others. Given my recent training I do not limit myself to instrumental genres, but I know that contemporary music passes through the computer and I know very well the use of Logic ProX and Sibelius, but I have also had the opportunity to compare myself with Ableton, Max, Digital Performer and Finale.

My lessons follow a very practical program, where the theoretical topics are addressed through exercises made ad hoc according to the needs demonstrated.
The lesson is usually developed in three parts: correction of the exercises, explanation of a new topic and possible example of a new exercise.
Knowledge of an instrument (including computer and voice) and note reading is not essential, although it is recommended.
The composition program addresses the following points:
- Study of jazz, classical, or modern theory and harmony depending on interest;
- Analysis of pieces consistent with the genre under consideration;
- Arrangement and orchestration of existing pieces;
- Composition exercises on previously given parameters;
- Learning notation or music production software;
- Other specific aspects (e.g. in case you want to study electronic music, aspects of electroacoustics, knowledge of synthesis, the use of plug-ins, etc.).
If you are interested in perfecting your own songs, e.g. to produce a record, the program will be established in accordance with the needs arising from a first meeting.
The lessons are aimed at any age from high school up.
I am available for lessons at home, at my residence or online.
Books and/or computer-based writing and production as are likely to be recommended for intermediate to advanced levels. Lessons may also include for educational purposes unconventional writing genres such as electronic music or improvised music genres.
