About Kimia
Teaching music is the best way to learn music as well. In this path, both students and teacher improve their musicality, ear training, and technique. Since every student character and ability, I enjoy exploring creative and fun ways to teach music to my students, so that I can flourish their creativeness and talents. Also, I have the chance to meet other musicians. I tend to encourage my students to perform with orchestras, ensembles, and pianists, in order to prepare them for professional levels of performing. The main aim is to learn and enjoy music and have fun!

I teach Oboe, Music Theory, and Composition in academic approach. For Oboe students, I work on the basics, musicality, technique, body posture, and reed making. I teach classic repertoire and prepare students for concerts, orchestra and music college auditions at any level and age. I also teach Music Theory and Ear Training along with my tutoring sessions. Depending on the level and the age of the students, the sessions will be either half an hour or an hour long. I have previous experience in teaching music to children and young musicians. I also can teach music Theory, Harmony and counterpoint at any level and age; and Composition for up to intermediate level students of any age.
