About Mary Grace
I am a Registered Chemical Engineer with a degree in BS Chemical Engineering and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Environmental Planning. I have teaching experience in pre-engineering, Chemical Engineering, and college-level subjects.
My goal is to make challenging concepts easier to understand through clear explanations, practical examples, and guided problem-solving. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

In my discussions, I first assess the student’s current knowledge and learning needs, then adjust my teaching style accordingly. I encourage students to ask questions, explain their reasoning, and actively participate rather than simply memorize concepts.
My typical lesson begins with a short review or warm-up to connect the topic to what the student already knows. I then introduce the new concept, explain it step-by-step, and provide examples. Afterward, I guide the student through practice exercises. I end the lesson with a brief review, feedback, and a check of the student’s understanding.
As a graduate of BS Chemical Engineering, a Registered Chemical Engineer, and a current Master’s student in Environmental Planning, I bring both technical knowledge and practical experience to my lessons. I have experience teaching pre-engineering, Chemical Engineering, and other college-level subjects. I aim to make complex concepts approachable.
