About Rachel
I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge with a passion to inspire students about the subjects I teach and help them to fulfil their potential. Having just left the education system, I have a keen awareness of what it is like to be a student and believe that this puts me in a good position to teach. In my spare time I play football and read; my favourite author is James Baldwin. I am invested in Ecology, having taken this module at University, and am saving up to do some conversation work in either the Amazon or South Africa at the end of next year.

I will develop a personalised schedule for you based on your curriculum, involving weekly lesson plans which will ensure that we cover all material before your exam. I am however flexible, and if you want to focus on specific areas I am happy to do that. A typical lesson would focus on an area of the course (e.g. respiration). I would firstly explain it, most likely with visual aids, and next answer any questions you may have. We would then go through past paper questions relevant to this area. I expect that a lesson would last 1 hour. I have worked as a teaching assistant and as an educator on a summer camp. I have also helped students with their personal statements for University admissions and with university admissions tests.
I am happy to tutor KS3, GCSE and A Level students in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.
