About Cheehian
I graduated with Bachelor in Computer Engineering from NTU and subsequently Master's in Financial Engineering from NUS. I started my career as a consultant specialized in regulatory capital consultancy to banks, then joined a few banks, and finally moved to explore other risk consultancy such as ALM, liquidity, IRRBB, etc. I realize that risk management is a big part of banking but there is very little practical content taught in universities nowadays. Young risk managers are forced to learn on the job, rather than be prepared in school before stepping out to work in the banks.
