About Klaire
I was a part time student tutor for two years at the University of Arizona. During this time, I have taught over 50 different students within a variety of college courses at the SALT Center. I personally have taken and aced all of the courses that I have tutored my own students in.

My name is Klaire Alcance and I am a recent graduate from the University of Arizona. I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences. I have gained my CRLA Level III (Master) certification through my part time job as a student tutor at the Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) Center. As a student tutor at the SALT Center, I provide one-on-one tutoring sessions for students who have learning disabilities.
My teaching methodology includes giving the student the ability to lead their own sessions. Due to varying level of knowledge that students possess regarding nutrition or any subject, I believe that it is best to first see what the student already knows and build off of this foundation. My goal is to help students achieve independent learning so they will be more capable of getting the most out of the session! Doing this helps students be more wary of the resources they have at hand and how to properly use them as a means of understanding main concepts.
