About Josie
I have experience tutoring high school students in mathematics. Currently, I am a student teacher in an Algebra II class. From this experience, I have learned multiple teaching strategies and to modify my teaching to fit the students' learning needs. Building relationships with each student has been a critical aspect in this experience because I have learned the needs and personalities of each student. Through my degree in mathematics, I have worked with a variety of problems, including high-level statistics and mathematics, so I have in-depth knowledge of the content I am teaching.

For teaching, I believe the learning should be student-centered and students should participate in a high amount of problem-solving to learn the material. Furthermore, integrating real-world problems is an essential part of my teaching strategy to help students connect mathematics with the world around them. As a tutor, I will modify my teaching techniques to best fit my students' needs. I will treat each student as an individual and build relationships with each students. My lessons will be in mathematics, specifically for high school level students.
