About Grant

My name is Grant Evans, and I've been dancing for over 10 years, with training in ballroom, Latin, and contemporary styles. I've competed, performed, and taught social dance for the last 8 years. I work with beginners who've never danced before, couples preparing for their wedding, and experienced dancers who want to refine their technique. My students trust me because I'm patient, clear, and I explain the mechanics of each step in a way that makes sense. I've helped shy beginners find their rhythm, nervous couples dance beautifully at their weddings, and social dancers become confident leads and follows. With me, you won't just learn steps — you'll learn to connect with your partner, move with the music, and truly enjoy the experience of dance.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Grant Evans. I've taught dance for 8 years, and my focus is on social and partner dancing — ballroom, Latin, and everything you need to feel confident at weddings, parties, and social events. I work with couples preparing for their first dance, individuals who want to learn to lead or follow, and anyone who's always wanted to dance but felt too self‑conscious to try. My lessons cover the fundamentals: posture, frame, timing, and basic footwork. We then build into specific dances like waltz, foxtrot, cha‑cha, rumba, salsa, and swing — depending on your preferences. I also teach how to lead and follow clearly, navigate a crowded floor, and recover gracefully when things go wrong. My approach is patient, practical, and built around real‑world dancing. You'll learn in a relaxed environment where mistakes are part of the process. By the end, you'll feel comfortable and confident on any dance floor.
