About Mickayla
As a Graduate of the Graphic Design program at McKenzie College, I am a passionate art and design enthusiast.
I have worked in Admissions and Recruitment, as well as Social Media Management, and Graphic Designer at McKenzie College.
I am very lucky to have been asked to join the Board of Directors for Art for Art's Sake.
I have worked with many volunteer-based programs, such as Festival Inspire in Moncton NB, coaching Cheerleading at an Elite Level and managing to fundraise for the team.
I have experience in communications as well as design for a municipality, print shop, as well as freelance.
I am a freelance artist as well. I commonly use my art for fundraising and volunteer work, as well as selling original and commission work.

I'm very open and easy going, especially with new learners. I enjoy the calm environment of no judgment. In the art world, there can be some discomfort in going out and trying new things, or even building on your current skill set. As a graduate of Visual Arts and Graphic Design, I understand how it feels to be creative in a world much less creative. My classes would be very laid back in the sense that there would be a lesson plan, straightforward, with lots of one on one teaching, as well as giving artistic freedom in a "mentor" type way!
