About Angela
As a graphic designer with over 39 years of experience, I specialize in corporate identity and branding. I have taught for 15 years, providing students with a strong foundation in graphic design; color theory; design; and layout. I work with students to develop their love for design and the steps to get there.
All students will need a computer and have access to Adobe Illustrator and InDesign programs for my class.

Graphic Design I
Introduces the skills needed in visual communication for High School students (9 - 12 grade) interested in Graphic Design. Students are taught the fundamentals of design concepts through the preparation of materials - from initial concept to production. Students will be taught to use freehand sketching for initial ideas and introduced to Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign for the preparation of lesson plans:
1. Spatial Study
2. Figure/Ground Composition
3. Grid/Layout Analysis
4. Logo Design
5. Visual Form vs Functional Information
