In my positions as a teacher and Special Education Instructor and previous ESL Instructor, I have taught English Grammar, phonics, speaking, reading comprehension, life skills, and writing for students of multicultural backgrounds in underserved communities, utilizing strong interpersonal skills in peer team building and working effectively with both Spanish and Arabic-speaking students. I assist students in understanding the English language using scaffolding techniques, visuals, audio, and scripting, and retain their focus by segmenting into creative, student-centered lesson plans, utilizing the WIPPEA lesson plan model. I foster a supportive learning structure by providing a classroom environment that allows for optimal growth and engagement, positive change, and academic excellence.
