About Laura
Does the idea of standing on stage with just a guitar and a microphone feel daunting or exhilarating? Spending 13 years gigging has taught me exactly which skills hold up under pressure and which ones fade away. I earned a BFA in Music Industry from Belmont University to ground those practical lessons in solid theory.
My work focuses on helping performance students, grade exam candidates, and returning players bridge the gap between their living room and the stage. You will find me teaching fingerpicking, rhythm guitar, and songwriting with a focus on real world utility. I emphasize maintenance and tuning because a reliable instrument is the foundation of any set. Watching a student gain the confidence to handle their own equipment is what I enjoy most.

We start by refining your tab reading and fingerpicking technique to build genuine dexterity. Once the basics are set, we look at rhythm guitar patterns that actually survive a live performance. My degree from Belmont University means I can translate complex theory into usable songwriting tools for anyone.
I also walk grade exam candidates through the exact requirements needed to succeed in their tests. Returning learners often appreciate how I break down maintenance to keep their gear ready for action. You get a coach who knows exactly what happens when the spotlight hits.
