Perfect! Let me start my review of Amanda with my concluding statement: She's a gem, and if she has time in her schedule to take you on as a student, consider yourself lucky. Amanda is a rare gem of talent, personality, patience and overall good Karma.

I am my son both have worked with Amanda. He's 6 1/2 and I'm 41, but Amanda caters her lessons to all skill levels (spoiler alert: my 6 yr old is better than me).

Amanda knows just the right level of compassion (some of us are doing this as a serious hobby but not to become full time musicians) but also demands (politely) that her students put in the work. She can play anything after a quick look at the notes, which is huge if you want to just riff on the fly.

But more than that, Amanda's skill is translatable to an ability to teach. She never makes you feel dumb with any question and devotes her full time to the session, never rushing you. She helped me develop a game plan, and it's been great.

Another intangible is that given her nice personality, even though I find guitar difficult, i truly look forward to sessions with Amanda. She makes it fun, knows how to laugh, and also has taught me a lot about her culture. Her English is 100% fluent.

I intend to work with Amanda for a long time to come, and I really believe all the aforementioned qualities will accelerate my improvement to what I find to be a difficult instrument. On a scale from 1-10, she's a 12.
