About Tom

Hi Everyone! I didn’t start playing guitar until I was 16, less than two years later I became HSC Music Dux. Since then, I’ve played hundreds of live shows across Australia and overseas, and recorded multiple tracks with bands including IV (Four). I’m now studying medicine (which I also tutor). But I'll always have music in my life, whether I'm performing, teaching, or simply playing for the joy of it. My teaching approach is patient and encouraging because I understand what it's like to start from scratch and work your way up across all genres. I hope to share the same benefits music has given me with you, whether that's the thrill of playing your first song, the confidence of performing, or simply the lifelong enjoyment of making music.

I teach guitar and bass across all genres, rock, indie, jazz, blues, pop, and more. For all ages and Levels. As HSC Music Dux, I also offer specialized support for high school music students preparing for exams and performances. Whether you want to play in a band, write your own music, or simply enjoy playing for yourself, I'll help you get there.

Lessons are relaxed, encouraging, and focused on making music fun while achieving real progress. All ages and skill levels welcome!

We focused on fundamentals like posture, basic technique, and getting comfortable with the instrument, Susan showed good coordination and focus throughout. With consistent practice, they have strong potential to progress well. I’m looking forward to seeing how they develop in future lessons.
