About Nicole
Graduating with a BA in Folk Music from Berea College gave me a deep appreciation for the mechanics of rhythm. I have taught 491 students over the years and found that everyone has a unique way of hearing music. My experience covers blues progressions, lead guitar, and complex fingerpicking patterns.
It helps to understand the theory behind barre chords and power chords while we play. I am quite laid-back when helping you read sheet music or tabs. Connecting your ear to your fingers is something we will focus on constantly. Hopefully, we can build a solid foundation that supports your specific performance dreams.

Customizing the curriculum for your goals is how I structure your time. Every student is different in how they absorb complex fretboard shapes. We start with basics if you are a beginner or dive into advanced lead guitar if you are a pro.
My degree from Berea College informs how I teach ear training. You will find that reading tabs feels natural quite quickly. Making progress during the hour is always a good time.
