About Dorthea
Playing guitar for 13 years taught me that music is not about being perfect. You might assume technical drills are the only path forward, but I found that real skill comes from surviving a live set when things go wrong. I spent 7 years gigging with just a guitar and a mic to realize that theory and technique only matter if they survive the spotlight.
My focus is on electric technique, music theory, and acoustic patterns. Blues progressions, improvisation, and soloing are also part of my core teaching toolkit. Having taught hundreds of musicians over the years, I want to know what challenges you face under pressure?

Sometimes I dread the early stages of learning a new solo because they feel mechanical. I break down those barriers so you focus on actual music instead of just finger exercises.
With my Diploma in Music Performance, I ensure your foundation is solid without making it feel like a chore. We use 10 years of accumulated gig wisdom to fix your strumming patterns.
My approach simplifies complex ideas into usable performance habits. You will find that these sessions emphasize the connection between chords and lyrics.
This method keeps the songs sounding real. We build your confidence through repetition. I promise that we keep things grounded in actual music-making.
