About Mariah
"Local open-mic regulars kept asking for advice on my acoustic style, so I started teaching. I have spent 13 years performing across the American South and Southwest. My foundation comes from a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Industry from Belmont University. I spent most of those years playing guitar in small venues.
Honest feedback and hands-on guidance define my method. I am comfortable working with absolute beginners and advanced players alike. Grade exam preparation is a core part of my background.
Teens often find my approach helpful when learning the nuance of the craft. Music is a tradition that deserves careful study. I want to help you reach your musical goals."

"Technique is simple, but it requires patience. We focus on the basics first. Acoustic technique and strumming patterns provide the structure for your playing.
I teach power chords and barre chords to expand your fretboard range. Reading tabs and understanding music theory are vital for any serious player. Improvisation and soloing happen once the ear training develops. Kids and advanced learners find that consistency is the secret.
I try to make the mechanics of the guitar feel intuitive. You can request a free trial session to assess your starting level. Let us work together to find your sound."
