About Henry
Playing guitar for 13 years has put me in countless dive bars and acoustic sets across the South. It is a gritty, honest way to live. Teaching began when open mic regulars asked how I managed my specific sound. I hold a BFA in Contemporary Music Performance from USC Thornton.
My style is neurodivergent affirming and direct. I focus on the groove above all else. Students range from hobbyists to those preparing for serious performances. We cover everything from blues progressions to complex ear training.
I help you read tabs and refine your electric technique. The music just happens.

Usually we start by grabbing the guitar and finding a steady rhythm. It is about how the notes feel under your fingers. I break down music theory so it applies to your actual playing.
You can bring any song request and I will turn it into a simplified arrangement. We work on fingerpicking and lead guitar skills together. I use my degree knowledge to help with grade exam prep. My approach is helpful for intermediate learners who want to gig.
I keep things moving fast. You will walk out knowing more than when you arrived.
