"Sometimes I admit that my favorite lessons involve nothing more than a chair and a quiet room. We start by connecting your current skill level to the vibrant traditions of the Latin diaspora. I use my Diploma of Music to bridge the gap between abstract theory and your playing style. You will learn to handle lead guitar and chord transitions with ease.
We spend time on strumming patterns until they feel like a natural heartbeat. As a bonus, I provide a monthly recorded review of your progress to track your growth. This ensures that you can see your own development over the weeks. We tackle blues progressions and music theory in an integrated cultural-musical package.
You will find that these sessions provide a genuine sense of clarity. Music is best understood when you actually play it."

"Graduating with a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy provided the technical foundation for my 7 years of teaching. My roots are tied firmly to the bolero and chacarera styles I grew up with.
I work primarily with performance-focused students, intermediate learners, kids, working professionals, and returning learners. Dealing with tuning and maintenance or complex chord transitions is just part of the daily routine. Sometimes I explain music theory through the lens of a simple flamenco phrase. It keeps things grounded in real musicality rather than dry academic concepts.
Songwriting often feels like a natural extension of our rhythm work. Reading tabs and mastering strumming patterns are also standard elements I cover. Lead guitar techniques or deep blues progressions occupy the rest of our time. Being a musician is a way of life that I truly enjoy sharing with others."
