About Davida
Ever wonder why those simple three chord songs sound like magic when someone else plays them? After 12 years of gigging with just a guitar and a mic, I have learned exactly what works and what falls apart under a spotlight. My Berklee training provides the structure while my street experience keeps things real.
I cover tuning and maintenance along with improvisation and soloing to make sure you sound solid. Songwriting and reading sheet music are also on the menu. We will tackle scales and modes plus ear training so you can actually hear what you play. Acoustic technique and reading tabs are essential tools.
Lead guitar is where the fun starts. It is pretty great to watch someone finally find their own voice on the fretboard.

Good performers rarely practice scales for 8 hours a day. You actually get better by playing songs that force you to mess up until you get them right.
My 12 years of experience means I know which shortcuts are traps and which ones are golden. I focus on bringing that protest song tradition to your fingers. We apply theory to real music immediately. This is not about dusty books or rigid drills.
We pull apart the acoustic canon to see how the guts of a song hold together. I show you how to maintain your gear so it does not fail mid set. Does that sound like the kind of challenge you are ready for?
