About Bennett

Thirteen years of coaching guitar has taught me that the instrument remains a constant source of wonder. You need a guide who understands the transition from nervous beginner to confident performer. I have helped students master strumming patterns, acoustic technique, songwriting, improvisation, soloing, rhythm guitar, barre chords, ear training, chord transitions, and fingerpicking while prepping for grade exams.

Simply put, music is fun. I hold an Artist Diploma in Guitar Performance from the Curtis Institute of Music. Working with diverse students has defined my 13 years of instruction. It is rewarding to see someone finally nail a difficult chord transition.

About the lesson

Many guitarists find that practicing soloing alone at home feels hollow without a proper rhythm section. I confess that even my early performance days were hindered by this exact lack of accompaniment.

My lessons utilize custom backing tracks to solve this common bottleneck for home practice sessions. These tracks are designed by me, drawing upon my 13 years of technical teaching and my formal training at the Curtis Institute of Music. Students often find that the 7.0 system helps them track their progress against clear metrics throughout the year.

You will find that the methodology is quite straightforward. We simply work through the scales and modes until they become natural.
