About Amy
Pacing is less about speed and more about building a solid foundation first. Many students rush into lead guitar before they understand basic rhythm or maintenance.
I use a diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan to save you time. My experience as a working musician ensures we focus on functional, real-world playing habits. It is quite simple to fix bad habits when you have a clear roadmap. We look at your specific needs during our first meeting.

Have you ever wondered why your fingers just will not move the way you want them to on the fretboard? I draw on 7 years of teaching and 20 years of gigging to simplify complex concepts. My degree as a self-taught guitarist means I understand the struggle of learning without guidance.
I work with absolute beginners and self-taught players who need better structure. We cover everything from acoustic technique and scales to improvisation and complex chord transitions. Ear training and reading sheet music are also on the menu for those who want to play with others. I am ready to help you gain total control over your instrument.
