About Sorrel
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and have 7 years of teaching experience working with students across different levels. My interest in guitar began with a passion for music and gradually developed into a strong commitment to teaching.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and practical learning. I break down techniques into simple steps so students can understand and apply them comfortably. I use demonstrations, exercises, and personalized guidance to support steady improvement. I also adapt my teaching style based on each student’s pace and comfort level.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing guitar and exploring different musical styles to stay inspired. Teaching guitar is very fulfilling because I see students grow in skill and confidence over time. Helping them enjoy music and express themselves motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and enthusiasm.

Learning guitar becomes much more enjoyable when students understand the basics of technique and rhythm instead of only trying to play songs without proper foundation. My lessons focus on developing skills in chord transitions, strumming patterns, finger placement, and rhythm through clear and simple explanations. I guide students step by step so they can develop smooth playing habits and avoid common mistakes. I also include exercises that improve coordination, timing, and sound clarity, helping students feel more confident with each session. Each lesson is interactive and supportive, allowing students to practice comfortably and ask questions freely.
I design my lessons based on each student’s level and musical goals to ensure steady improvement. Beginners focus on basic chords, simple strumming, and easy songs. Intermediate learners work on chord progressions, rhythm variations, and fingerstyle techniques. Advanced students focus on lead playing, improvisation, and performance skills. Practice exercises, song-based learning, and regular feedback are included to support continuous growth.
Guitar also helps students develop creativity, coordination, and confidence in self-expression. As they improve, they become more comfortable playing independently and exploring different musical styles. Many learners enjoy the flexibility of guitar as it allows them to express their personality through music. My goal is to make guitar learning engaging, structured, and confidence-building.
