About Evelyn

I am a guitar tutor with eight years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music Studies. I teach learners at all levels, from beginners discovering the instrument to advanced students refining technique, musicality, and stage presence. About the lesson

Intermediate learners refine fingerstyle techniques, improvisation, rhythm accuracy, and expressive phrasing. Advanced students focus on solo performance, complex repertoire, stylistic interpretation, and live performance readiness. Lessons include ear training, sight-reading, improvisation exercises, and performance simulations to strengthen both technical and creative abilities. I encourage learners to embrace mistakes as part of the learning process, fostering resilience, musical intuition, and self-confidence.

I balance technical exercises, repertoire work, and creative exploration to ensure comprehensive skill development. Students practice rhythm, coordination, musicality, and stylistic versatility while engaging in performance scenarios, ensemble work, and improvisation to consolidate learning.

Additionally, I emphasize expressive interpretation, encouraging students to convey emotion, tell musical stories, and develop their unique artistic voice. By the end of instruction, learners gain technical proficiency, expressive capability, and performance confidence, equipping them to perform authentically and creatively in diverse musical settings.
