About Ernestine
Sometimes I forget that not everyone enjoys the feeling of raw fingertips after a long practice session. I hold a BM in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music, which heavily informs my technical perspective on the instrument.
During my 5 years of teaching, I have learned that finishing tracks is much more important than obsessing over perfect technique. I treat the guitar as a vehicle for your own songwriting and creative expression.
My background is rooted in helping people turn abstract ideas into tangible music. I simplify complex barriers like barre chords and intricate fingerpicking for all my students.
We explore strumming patterns and rhythm guitar to anchor your playing. I integrate ear training and improvisation to ensure you really understand the fretboard. My goal is to make the instrument a natural extension of your voice. I am ready to get you playing better than you ever thought possible.
