About Justin
Starting with a diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan helps me see exactly where you stand. Honestly, I sometimes find that players focus on complex scales while neglecting the rhythm patterns that actually make a song move. We will look at lead and rhythm guitar, music theory, reading tabs, songwriting, and ear training together.
My 13 years of experience ensures that every session remains grounded in the realities of being a musician. I cater to those returning to the instrument after a long break or those aiming to refine their existing abilities.
The process is collaborative and relies on your unique goals as a guitarist. We sit down, we play, and we find the groove. It just flows.

Growing up in a home filled with music shaped my perspective on the guitar. You will find that my approach to teaching comes directly from the Latin music scene I have played in for 6 years. I hold a BM Contemporary Music from AIM and remain deeply rooted in traditional techniques. Throughout my 13 years of experience, I have guided 190 students toward their goals.
My background involves blending these formal studies with the raw energy of live performance. I am a native Spanish speaker who values the connection between language and melody.
