About Ward
Tuning is often the most neglected part of a student's routine. I spend the first few minutes of every session ensuring your setup is correct. We explore ear training and power chords to give you a strong foundation for performance.
You will receive free chord charts and tab sheets after each class to keep your progress moving forward. Music theory provides the map for everything we play together. Beginners and returning learners alike will find a steady rhythm here.

Growing up in Havana meant the guitar was always a bridge to my heritage. 10 years of playing flamenco and Latin guitar formed the bedrock of my technique. I hold a Licenciatura en Guitarra Flamenca and graduated from Berklee College of Music to expand my musical horizons. Working with 274 students has shown me how to guide kids and self taught players through the hurdles of learning rhythm guitar and fingerpicking.
My classes offer the structure that many independent learners miss while they are trying to master improvisation or soloing. I enjoy showing people how to read sheet music and understand the mechanics of their instrument.
