About Stella
Music theory is just a roadmap that happens to be hidden in plain sight. I want to ensure you build a foundation that actually lasts through every practice session. My lessons revolve around your specific interests, whether that means mastering improvisation or perfecting your soloing technique.
I offer a monthly recorded review of progress so you can visually and aurally track your growth over time. It is important to me that you feel comfortable expressing yourself through the instrument. I am the first-generation Canadian teacher who wants to hear what your unique sound is.

Working with kids, teens, and hobbyists has been the highlight of my 13 years of experience in the industry. You deserve a patient teacher who understands the frustration of difficult chord transitions or muddy scales and modes. I have taught 139 students to move past basic strumming into complex blues progressions and lead guitar techniques.
My approach combines my McGill MA Music Education with a genuine desire to see you succeed. We will explore songwriting, electric technique, and ear training together. I am here to ensure you finally understand how to read sheet music without the stress.
