About Emily
Music lives in the space between strings and soul. Playing guitar for 13 years has taught me that technique is just the foundation for true expression. My BMus Popular Music from Queensland Conservatorium and my Licenciatura from Argentina define my academic lens. I am from Havana and have spent my time in Australia merging these worlds. Guitar is my voice. I focus on CHORD TRANSITIONS and intricate fingerpicking. Reading tabs becomes natural here. Barre chords feel simple after we break down the mechanics. My ear training methods help you hear the rhythm before you play it. I enjoy helping adults find their own sound.

Your first session involves a deep look at your current grip and posture. We identify the hurdles. You will find that these sessions flow through chord transitions and acoustic technique work until they feel like second nature. I ensure that every adult learner and professional finds the nuance in their playing style. You will receive a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high as you work on barre chords or fingerpicking. Reading tabs becomes a visual aid rather than a crutch as we refine your ear training skills. I see the progress you make through the music we share during our time together. My goal is to make sure you enjoy the physical sensation of the instrument as much as the melody itself. It is a joy to share these rhythms with you.
